As a longtime Washingtonian, I have lived or worked in every corner of the 2nd Congressional District since being stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island where I met my wife of twenty years and mother of my three beautiful daughters. After proudly serving and completing my enlistment, I used the GI Bill beginning at Skagit Valley College, to earn a degree as a Civil Engineer and then became licensed as a Professional Engineer who now owns a successful Engineering firm in Skagit County. I truly am living the American dream!
I am blessed to live in the most beautiful place in the world and while I have seen a lot of good changes for our region and country, I have become deeply concerned that many of the problems that effect my family and fellow citizens are not being adequately addressed. I believe that affordable housing, the homeless epidemic, environmental mismanagement, inadequate transportation system, and the excessive taxes we all pay need to be a higher priority with better solutions for the 2nd Congressional District.
In 2020, I decided it was time to do more and officially announced my candidacy as U.S. Representative for Washington States 2nd Congressional District. Unfortunately, even with impressive support from my district, when the votes were finalized, it became clear this was not the right time for me.
After significant reflection on what I learned during my 2020 campaign, I realized that I am not done serving my fellow Washingtonians and have decided to expand on holding government accountable, exposing corruption, and advocating for those who share my values.
I am excited about what is ahead and I am grateful to all those who have been and continue to support me.
